Welcome to the Capital Toxicology Medical Examiners Office!
The Capital Toxicology Medical Examiner’s Office is responsible for investigating and determining the cause and manner of death in any violent, sudden, unexpected, suspicious, or otherwise unexplained death, inclusive of all jail deaths and deaths in police custody occurring within the Bay, Midland, Tuscola, Arenac, and Iosco counties. The office works closely with law enforcement agencies and other medical professionals to provide accurate and timely death investigations.
