Next of Kin
Next of Kin is a relative to the decedent managing the funeral arrangements. This is typically a surviving spouse, children, parents or siblings.

Viewings must be arranged through the funeral home. No viewing is allowed at the morgue.

Death Certificate
The medical examiner does not generate official death certificates. The funeral director starts the process but it is not considered an official death certificate until it is filed at the clerk's office by a funeral director. To obtain a copy of a death certificate, contact the county clerk in county of death or the funeral director for assistance.
